A community service organization is seeking a Training and Development Specialist to provide comprehensive training to employees. Candidates should possess a BA/BS in related human services, have 3 years of experience in the field, and proficiency in training methods. Responsibilities include preparing training materials and environments, delivering training, and maintaining records. The role includes some evening and weekend work and travel to different sites.
The successful candidate will have knowledge of principles and methods of adult learning, and experience leading and instructing individuals and groups in a professional setting. Training and Development Specialists must be able to plan, organize and facilitate training for employees using a variety of instructional techniques or formats; such as role playing, simulations, team exercises, group discussions, videos, or lectures. The candidate should have excellent oral, written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills. Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar is required.
The successful candidate should have strong proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and/or standard software applications typically used in a corporate office environment. In addition, the candidate must be able to deliver training modules using a variety of training techniques. This position requires the candidate to monitor, evaluate, and record training activities for program effectiveness.
