Job summary

Iconma LLC is seeking a Trainer - Vehicle Technician for our Las Vegas, NV location. The role focuses on developing and delivering comprehensive training programs for automotive/AV systems, with emphasis on high-voltage safety and electric propulsion.

The trainer will create lesson plans, instructional materials, and evaluations, coordinating with internal and external teams to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations. Occasional vehicle driving is required for training activities.

Qualifications

  • 2-5 years automotive/AV experience
  • Foundational knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems
  • Experience with EV subsystems (DC/AC, BMS, inverters, charging)
  • Excellent communication, both verbal and written
  • Experience building training materials and guides
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Commitment to safety standards and training compliance
  • Familiarity with Google Suite and LMS tools

Job description

Our Client, an AV Manufacturing company, is looking for a Trainer - Vehicle Technician for their Las Vegas, NV location.

Responsibilities:
  • Research, analyze and identify specific training needs to support team objectives
  • Select appropriate delivery methodology, develop lesson plans, instructional materials, and student handouts
  • Develop and administer an ongoing training program that includes all aspects of employee growth from onboarding and orientation through continued growth in both technical and managerial tracks
  • Work closely with internal & external teams to define requirements for all training types
  • Ensure all training sessions strictly comply with safety standards, local regulations, and environmental guidelines, with a particular focus on high-voltage (HV) systems, batteries, and electric propulsion systems.
  • Schedule & conduct both classroom and on-the-job instruction and track and report completion to metrics
  • Develop evaluations that assess the effectiveness of training and implement mechanisms for feedback to continuously improve the training program based on technician feedback, performance data, and industry best practices.
  • Required to manually drive company vehicles for limited distances on an as-needed basis (approximately 15-20% of the time). No autonomous vehicle operation is required.
  • May be required to drive manually for training exercises or to demonstrate the CalVal process, in addition to drive within specific routes.
  • On rare occasions, to drive vehicle (OPS vehicle or a Support vehicle) between company facilities or other designated locations in support of training or business operations.
Requirements:
  • ASE Certifications Preferred
  • Posses or willing to posses AC609 Certification
  • 2-5 Years of Automotive/AV experience preferred.
  • Solid understanding of mechanical and electrical fundamental systems, schematics, and service best practices.
  • Extensive knowledge of electric vehicle systems, including DC and AC electrical systems, battery management systems, inverters, charging systems, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex technical concepts to individuals with varying levels of technical knowledge, including those in Engineering, Quality, Reliability, FSE, Manufacturing, Service OPS, and more.
  • Foundational instructional design experience, as this position requires the development of training materials, Quick Reference Guides, and presentations.
  • Ability to interact professionally with a broad spectrum of teams, from mechanics to high-level management, ensuring a positive training experience.
  • Commitment to staying current with industry trends, certifications, codes, and best practices to ensure content remains relevant and compliant.
  • Maintain accurate records of training completion, evaluations, and participant feedback.
  • Proficiency with Google Suite
  • Familiarity with LMS platforms, JIRA, SAP, DMS, etc.
