Job summary

XPO Logistics, Inc. is seeking a Trainer, Fleet Maintenance to lead instructor-led sessions and hands-on training for technicians. This role emphasizes alignment of fleet maintenance training with real-world needs and operational goals.

The position involves facilitating programs, coordinating events, and developing training materials while collaborating with teams and managing travel requirements as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience.
• 1 year of instructor-led facilitation experience in a classroom or virtual training environment.
• Knowledge of adult learning and management theories.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate training programs, meetings and discussions, and develop training materials and events.
• Plan and coordinate all facets of training events and write concise communications.

What you’ll need to succeed as a Trainer, Fleet Maintenance at XPO

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience


• 1 year of instructor-led facilitation experience in a classroom and/or virtual training environment


• Knowledge of adult learning and management theories

Preferred qualifications:

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and Outlook).


• Thorough knowledge of training information, trends, techniques, technologies, processes, philosophies, etc.


• Thorough knowledge of the fundamentals of Heavy-Duty trucks, trailing equipment, Air Conditioning, Diesel engines, electricity and electronics diagnosis and repair


• ASE certification


• Able to relate classroom material to real-world situations


• Strong written and verbal communication skills


• Excellent time management, organizational and multi-tasking skills


• Able to work independently and/or in a team environment


• Able to travel


• Valid driver’s license

• Facilitate training programs, various meetings and discussions, research and coordinate training resource information and materials and develop training materials, processes and events


• Plan and coordinate all facets of training events, write concise and constructive communiqués, documents, etc.


• Solve problems, assess relative importance and consider all relevant factors to prioritize tasks and assignments
