Job summary

XPO is seeking a Trainer, Fleet Maintenance to lead instructor-led sessions and develop comprehensive training programs for our fleet teams. The role emphasizes applying adult learning principles and coordinating multiple training initiatives in a dynamic environment.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with heavy-duty trucks, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently or in a team while traveling as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience.
  • 1 year of instructor-led facilitation experience in a classroom and/or virtual training environment.
  • Knowledge of adult learning and management theories.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate training programs, meetings, and discussions; research and coordinate training resources and materials; develop training materials and events.
  • Plan and coordinate all facets of training events; write concise communiqués and documents.
  • Solve problems; assess priorities; coordinate tasks and assignments.

What you’ll need to succeed as a Trainer, Fleet Maintenance at XPO
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience
  • 1 year of instructor-led facilitation experience in a classroom and/or virtual training environment
  • Knowledge of adult learning and management theories
Preferred qualifications
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
  • Thorough knowledge of training information, trends, techniques, technologies, processes, philosophies, etc.
  • Thorough knowledge of the fundamentals of Heavy-Duty trucks, trailing equipment, Air Conditioning, Diesel engines, electricity and electronics diagnosis and repair
  • ASE certification
  • Able to relate classroom material to real-world situations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent time management, organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Able to work independently and/or in a team environment
  • Able to travel
  • Valid driver’s license
