Job summary

Silvertip Completion Services in Midland, TX is seeking a hands-on field technician to safely operate and maintain pump trucks and related equipment in completing operations. Under direct supervision, you will assist with rigging up and rig down, document data, and support crew at the wellsite.

Candidates should have at least 1 year of oilfield experience, a valid driver's license, and be able to work 12+ hour shifts, including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Willingness to perform physically demanding tasks.

Responsibilities

• Install / disassemble pumps and data recording equipment per manufacturer standards.
• Monitor, evaluate and adjust processes to maximize quality and efficiency.
• Perform shipping, loading, and unloading duties in compliance with FMCSA rules; verify equipment identity.
• Operate, maintain and troubleshoot pump truck and equipment; keep operation records.
• Clean and maintain vehicles, tools, and equipment; rebuild pumps as needed.
• Provide support to crew and liaise with technicians on equipment failure.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Description

Under direct supervision, responsible for the safe execution of operations in all aspects of Pressure pumping and completion services which may include, but is not limited to, rigging up the truck at the service location, assisting with all operations both in the shop and at the wellsite. Operates and maintains the assigned pump truck and equipment, as well as keeps records for the overall operation.

Responsibilities

• Installation / disassembly (rig up/rig down) of pumps and data recording equipment in accordance with original manufacturer’s standards including verification of applicable certifications. Assembles, secures, and disconnects equipment.
• Monitors, evaluates, and adjusts processes or equipment to maximize quality and efficiency. Tasks are performed in accordance with applicable safety guidelines, as well as appropriate industry standards.
• Performs a combination of shipping, loading, and unloading duties. Follows all standard shipping practices and procedures in full compliance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations including additional transportation routing and scheduling requirements. Verifies and document’s identity and quantity of all equipment.
• Operates, maintains, and troubleshoots pump truck and equipment including diagnostics, as well as keeps records for the overall operation. Ensures compliance with all regulations applicable to pressure pumping operations
• Clean and maintain company vehicles, tools, & equipment; Troubleshoot tool, equipment, and truck problems; Rebuild pumps in the shop and in the field
• Provides support to crew members with operations on and off location and liaises with technicians on equipment failure

• Job Qualifications
• 1 year oilfield experience is preferred
• Housing is not offered
• You Must be 21 Years or Older
• Knowledge of transferring pumps and fueling process preferred
• Maintaining a current and valid driver’s is required
• Able to safely preform duties during a 12+ hour work shift that will include day, nights, weekends, holidays, and extreme weather conditions
• Ability to frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds independently while walking on uneven surfaces, and climb equipment ladders or stairs throughout the work shift
• Strong work ethic
• Can perform well in high stress environments and meet time-sensitive deadlines which may include emergency response situations
• Can work effectively on a team as well as independently
