Job description

Trainee Mammography Technologist with Imagen and Optum – Primary Care, FT Days

Phoenix, AZ

Imagen Technologies is a high growth healthcare startup enabling patients to be diagnosed, treated, and managed at their primary care appointment (vs. having to refer out to hospitals, imaging centers and other slow and expensive options). Today, we’ve built an AI-enabled platform that enables patients to receive immediate diagnostic tests, immediate results, and immediate next steps – all in a single Primary Care appointment. For example: through our platform, women across the U.S. are now receiving comprehensive breast imaging, results, and specialist-driven next steps at their local Primary Care office, condensing a multi-month diagnostic journey into 60 minutes. Imagen is partnering with Optum to bring our powerful diagnostic platform to their primary care patients in Phoenix, AZ.

With over $160m in funding from Google Ventures and some of the largest clinical networks in the country, we are rapidly expanding this platform across the U.S. - from 7 states and 50,000 patients in 2022, to 16 states and 500,000 patients in 2023. By 2026, we will be delivering care across 35 states and to more than 5m patients per year.

Imagen is looking for a motivated X-Ray Technologist eager to expand their skills into comprehensive mammography. Imagen’s Mammography Technologist Trainee will provide mammography services at Optum’s primary care practice in Phoenix, AZ. You’ll have the opportunity to expand your radiology skill set by receiving comprehensive mammography training, perform screening exams, and contribute to a vital imaging program that supports early detection. You’ll receive hands-on training from Imagen’s mammography leadership team as well as access to additional external training programs. By the end of our program, Imagen’s leadership team will ensure you are MSQA compliant and on a path to receiving your ARRT certification in mammography.

  • No night or weekend coverage and no on-call requirements!
  • Primary care facility setting. Please note, this is NOT a mobile position
  • We offer competitive pay rate and a comprehensive benefits package including:
  • A generous PTO policy, including paid holidays, vacation, and sick time
  • Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance
  • FSA and a 401k retirement plan
  • CEUs and ARRT certification reimbursement
  • Reimbursement for scrubs

As a Trainee Mammography Technologist, you will:

  • Complete a fully-paid, 40 hour mammography training program plus 8 hours of digital & DBT mammography training
  • Perform 2-D/3-D screening mammography studies upon successful completion of mammography training program and passing of licenses
  • Perform all required QC testing, data entry, and mammography tracking documentation tasks, with comprehensive training provided from the Imagen mammography leadership team
  • Assist patients from check-in through exam completion and provide patients with white glove, compassionate service
  • Enjoy remote and in-person support from the Imagen leadership team who have clinical expertise on the day to day management of program

You will love this job if you:

  • Are excited by the opportunity to learn new skills and have a growth mindset
  • Are motivated by the immeasurable impact of screening services and early detection for all patients
  • Want to join a team that uses cutting edge technology to help you provide the best patient care
  • Are action-oriented and possess a mentality of “no job is too big or too small”

You should get in touch if you:

  • Currently hold an ARRT certification in radiography
  • Currently hold an Arizona state X-ray license
  • Have 1 or more years of experience performing X-Ray
  • You are able to lift or move 50 pounds unassisted
