MKTG Sports + Entertainment, part of dentsu, offers a six-month Trainee Program in Charlotte, NC. This is an entry‑level, full‑time opportunity with a path to a permanent role based on performance and availability.

You will conduct venue research, coordinate logistics, and assist with client events, budgets, and vendor relations, with occasional travel and on-site requirements. Start date is January 11, 2027; visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• College degree preferred; relevant experience will be considered.

At MKTG Sports + Entertainment, we offer a rewarding program for anyone seeking entry into the sports and lifestyle marketing industry. The Trainee Program is a six-month, entry level, full time, immersive employment opportunity where you will gain practical industry experience. A full-time, permanent position at the end of the program is based on performance and position availability.

Responsibilities

• Conduct venue research and develop recommendations for client presentations

• Propose food and beverage menus, taking into consideration clientele and the guest experience
• Recommend event gifts, including product sourcing and fulfillment
• Maintain attendee lists and other important documents, specifically status reports and meeting notes
• Organize, distribute and manage client ticket allocations (physical or digital)
• Develop and maintain relationships with outside vendors
• Manage shipping and receiving logistics
• Reconcile event budgets
• Provide general office support
• Some travel (including weekend travel) may be required based on account needs

Quick facts

• Program start date: January 11, 2027
• This role requires 3-4 days each week on location along with other days as needed. This role will be in the following location: Charlotte, NC
• This application deadline is October 2, 2026 at 4pm Eastern
• You will report to someone more senior on the team.
• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis. Employment-based visa sponsorship (including H-1B sponsorship) is not available for this position.

Additional Information

The hourly pay range for this position is ($19.23 per hour). The hourly pay rate for the successful candidate is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law. Temporary employees are eligible for paid holidays in accordance with dentsu policy, as well as safe and sick time. This position is not eligible for any other benefits or other compensation.
