Job summary

Chiltern Thrust Bore is offering a trainee site operative role with extensive UK travel. You will receive full training in trenchless technology, including horizontal directional drilling and guided auger boring, working alongside experienced drillers.

The role focuses on practical, hands-on work with a strong health and safety culture. Accommodation and allowances are provided for away-project work as needed.

Qualifications

• Essential: Full valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively across the UK.
• Willingness to learn a specialist trade and maintain high health and safety standards.
• Desirable: HGV Class 2 licence (advantageous).

Responsibilities

• Support trenchless projects with the delivery of services.
• Learn specialist techniques through in-house and off-site training.
• Assist lead drillers and ensure safe, efficient project activities.
• Travel with the team to project locations across the UK.
