Job summary

RRD, a global provider of packaging and printing services, is hiring for a trainable package packaging operator in Oberlin, Ohio. No experience is required; training will be provided to join the pharmaceutical packaging team on second or third shift after training on first shift.

You will set up, adjust and operate small format folding equipment, perform precise mechanical adjustments, and ensure quality of inserts and outserts to exact standards. Competitive wage offered.

Qualifications

• Prior experience on small folding equipment helpful but not required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem solving skills.
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Knowledge of bindery machines setup and operation helpful but will train.
• Knowledge of paper stock finishing requirements helpful but not required.
• Skill in setting up machines for finishing operations and to refine such adjustments for weight, color, machinability and quality.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust and operate small format folding equipment.
• Perform fine mechanical adjustments for accuracy and consistency.
• Run pharmaceutical inserts and outserts to strict quality standards, training provided.
• Will train to set up automatic bindery machines containing multiple functions and station capabilities (power paper cutters, power collators and gatherers, power folders, power speed binder).
• Inspect equipment for safety issues, customer and regulatory requirements using provided guidelines.
• Make needed adjustments to coordinate the multiple work stations on a single machine.
• Monitor quality, output and productivity, with appropriate guidance and instruction.
