Job summary

Alstom in West Mifflin, PA is seeking a Train Performance Engineer to lead development and validation of train systems on cost, quality and time. You will work with RAM and validation engineers, translate customer and regulatory requirements into train-level specs, and deliver test reports and documentation for Certification & Authorization.

Responsibilities

  • Leading the train system development and validation efforts.
  • Translating customer and regulatory requirements into train-level requirements and specifications.
  • Being accountable for Train Reliability, Train LSA, LCC target achievement, cybersecurity, and Validation/Engineering contributions to Certification & Authorization.
  • Acting as the main technical focal point for the customer regarding train performance topics.
  • Collaborating with RAM engineers to manage reliability activities and report on reliability risk management.
  • Partnering with Train Validation Engineers to ensure verification and validation activities are completed and meet requirements.
  • Contributing to Certification and Authorization by delivering test reports and train-level documentation.
  • Supporting the Certification & Authorization manager on technical topics.
  • Driving project team success by ensuring alignment with Cost, Quality, and Time through standardized practices.

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your engineering and project leadership expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside innovative, dedicated, and collaborative teammates. You'll ensure that our project team excels in meeting company objectives on Cost, Quality, and Time through globally standardized practices. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (including RAM engineers, Train Validation Engineers, and ISR/LCC engineers), lead the Train System’s Technical Development & Validation, and much more.

We’ll look to you for:

Leading the train system development and validation efforts.,

Ensuring conversion of customer and regulatory requirements into train-level requirements and specifications.,

Being accountable for Train Reliability, Train Logistic Support Analysis (LSA), LCC target achievement, Cybersecurity, and Validation and Engineering contributions to Certification & Authorization.,

Acting as the main technical focal point for the customer regarding train performance topics.,

Collaborating with the RAM engineer to manage reliability activities and report on reliability risk management.,

Partnering with the Train Validation Engineer to ensure verification and validation activities are completed and fulfill requirements.,

Contributing to Certification and Authorization by delivering requested deliverables (such as test reports and train-level documentation).,

Supporting the Certification & Authorization manager on technical topics.,

Driving project team success by ensuring alignment with company objectives on Cost, Quality, and Time through globally standardized practices.",

Working closely with teams across the business, including RAM engineers, Train Validation Engineers, and ISR/LCC engineers.
