Job summary

Worlds of Fun is seeking a Train Engineer to operate and supervise our park ride with a focus on safety and guest enjoyment in Kansas City, MO. You will load guests, monitor restraints, and provide ride commentary while delivering excellent customer service.

Responsibilities include safe operation, maintaining cleanliness, and adherence to all park policies. This role may require working evenings, weekends, and holidays as part of a dynamic team at a premier family park.

• Ability to interact with guests of all ages.

Responsibilities

• Operate the train ride safely and efficiently.
• Check and secure ride restraints and follow safety guidelines.
• Assist with loading and unloading guests.
• Deliver ride spiel using a microphone and provide directions.
• Maintain ride cleanliness and surrounding area.
• Must be able to perform an oil change.
• Adhere to park policies and emergency procedures.

Must be 18 years or older.

As a Train Engineer at Worlds of Fun, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and enjoyment of park guests while they ride the train at the park. This includes:

• Operating the ride in a safe and efficient manner
• Checking and securing ride restraints and ensuring that all ride safety guidelines are followed
• Assisting with the loading and unloading of guests onto the ride
• Providing excellent customer service to park guests, including answering questions and addressing any concerns or issues that may arise
• Gives directions and delivers ride spiel usng a microphone.
• Maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the ride and its surrounding area
• Must be able to conduct an oil change
• Following all park policies and procedures, including those related to safety and emergency situations
