Norfolk Southern is hiring conductors to safely assemble and move freight trains, deliver railcars to customers, and manage train operations across long distances. Training is provided with emphasis on safety, regulatory compliance, and teamwork.

This on-call, seniority-based role offers training with potential recent shifts and union affiliation upon placement. Conductor trainees start on an extra board and progress to regular assignments as seniority grows.

Qualificações

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must hold a valid driver\'s license and have reliable transportation.
• Ability to report to work within 90 minutes.
• Clear driving record within 36 months with no major violations.
• No prior drug/alcohol diversion or probation history.
• Must pass FRA drug and alcohol screening.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsabilidades

• Build and inspect trains, railcars, and equipment for safe operation.
• Operate remote control locomotives and perform coupling, alignment, braking, and riding tasks.
• Communicate effectively with crews, dispatchers, and yard controllers.
• Maintain documentation and comply with FRA and company safety regulations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
