Great Western Trailer (GWT) in Houston, TX is seeking skilled Trailer Technicians to join our growing team. You will inspect, repair, and fabricate semi-trailers, including brakes, wiring, bodywork, lift gates, and related components.

This role emphasizes safety, quality, and timely service in a shop, yard, or mobile setting. We value reliability, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work overtime when needed.

Qualifications

• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Own a personal set of hand tools (except in California).
• Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with semi-trailer equipment and maintenance.
• Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic tools safely and efficiently.
• Willingness to work overtime when needed.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and repair semi-trailers, including brakes, wiring, bodywork, lift gates, and more.
• Install and replace add-on components such as toolboxes, winches, and ramp kits.
• Perform fabrication and welding as needed.
• Complete service reports and ensure all work meets quality and safety standards.
