Job summary

Schneider National, Inc. in Shrewsbury, MA is hiring a Trailer Technician for the 1st shift (Wednesday–Friday and every other weekend, 5:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.).

You will perform routine maintenance, inspections and component replacements on company trailers and use maintenance software to track work orders. Ideal candidates have a technical degree in welding, electronics, or one year of trailer technician experience, basic welding skills, and ability to work with diagnostic software.

Qualifications

Technical degree in welding, electronics, or related systems or 1 year trailer technician experience.
Basic welding skills preferred.
Experience with computer systems and diagnostic software.
Ability to make maintenance/repair recommendations.
Own tools to be provided within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

Perform routine repairs and preventive maintenance to trailers.
Create and track work orders using maintenance software.
Communicate status updates with internal customers.
