Job summary

J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. in Dallas, TX, is seeking a trailer technician to perform basic maintenance and repairs on trailers, containers, chassis and related equipment, under close supervision to meet company standards.

You will follow preventative maintenance procedures, complete work orders, and adhere to SRT and warranty guidelines while maintaining safety and professional communication with customers and J.B. Hunt staff.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in semi-trailer maintenance and repair, or equivalent education/military
• Able to supply own basic tools, or purchase through toolbox program
• Willingness to work outdoors in the elements
• Able to work across multiple shifts, including nights and weekends
• Military equivalent accepted

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate basic knowledge of preventative maintenance and repairs on trailer equipment, including air brake systems and FHWA inspections
• Perform basic repairs to spec, complete work orders, and follow SRT and warranty guidelines
• Follow shop safety procedures
• Communicate professionally with J.B. Hunt personnel and customers
