Job summary

TEC Equipment in Lathrop, CA is seeking a Trailer Technician 1 to join our on-site shop team. This regular full-time daytime role requires solid trailer experience and a willingness to perform preventative maintenance, diagnose issues, and repair semi-trailers.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-5 years working on trailers.
• Must have own hand tools.
• High expertise in troubleshooting using diagnostic software.
• Proficient computer skills to input vehicle maintenance records and utilize diagnostic software.
• Ability to meet physical demands of the job (up to 50lbs) and work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostic tests to troubleshoot issues and repair vehicle to proper operating condition, including performing FHWA/BIT inspections.
• Troubleshoot and perform complex wiring repairs and diagnose and repair any electronic issues
• Perform routine and preventative maintenance services. Identify worn and damaged parts all parts to include major components, repairing, adjusting, or replacing as needed
• Maintain safe and organized work area
• Ability to be on task to meet shop quality and efficiency standards and take ownership of assigned jobs to ensure quality repairs
• Maintain vehicle records by annotating services and repairs
