Job summary

North Central Utility, Inc. in Mankato, MN is seeking a hands-on Trailer Technician to inspect, troubleshoot and repair semi-trailers, and perform body and wreck repairs.

The role requires diagnosing issues and ensuring DOT compliance where qualified. This full-time position offers a $2,500 sign-on bonus paid in installments, a wage of $20–$40/hour based on experience, and a comprehensive benefits package including 401(k) matching, health/dental/vision, life and disability insurance, FSA, PTO,

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• Basic set of tools and previous experience preferred.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the position.
• Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot and perform a variety of repairs on semi-trailers.
• Perform all aspects of trailer body & wreck repairs.
• Diagnose and make recommendations to manager on repairs as required.
• Air and electrical system diagnostics and repair.
• Preventative maintenance.
• Perform all types of welding (i.e. - aluminum, mild steel, and stainless steel).
• Fabricate or modify trailer body parts.
• Maintain allocated time on all repairs and modifications.
