Job summary

Amerit Fleet Solutions in Hayward, CA is hiring a skilled Trailer Technician/Mechanic to join our fleet maintenance team. You will perform preventive maintenance and repairs on class 7-8 trailers, diagnose issues, and ensure safety and compliance across operations.

We offer weekly pay, full benefits within 30 days, and a day-shift schedule (Mon-Thu, 6:00am–4:30pm). Valid DL required; tool ownership expected; no weekends.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on experience performing class 7-8 trailer maintenance and repairs
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to own and maintain the personal tools and toolbox required for the role
• Willingness to meet pre-employment checks including background, drug screen, and DOT if required

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on class 7-8 trailers
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues
• Conduct inspections to ensure safety and compliance standards
• Accurately document repairs and complete work orders
