Job summary

Transport Refrigeration, Inc. is opening a new Rockford, IL location and seeks an Experienced Trailer Technician / Trailer Mechanic to service semi-trailers, refrigerated trailers, and heavy‑duty equipment.

You will perform trailer repair, DOT/FHWA inspections, brakes, ABS, electrical systems, welding, fabrication, and body repairs in a hands‑on shop environment. Valid DL and safety awareness required.

Qualifications

• Experience repairing semi-trailers, refrigerated trailers, or commercial trailers.
• Strong welding and fabrication skills with structural repair ability.
• Familiar with DOT/FHWA inspections and trailer electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on trailers and refrigerated trailers.
• Diagnose and repair brakes, ABS, electrical, and tire systems.
• Repair trailer bodies, floors, doors, and perform welding as needed.
• Fabricate parts and perform road service when required.
