Job summary

Riverside Transport in Kansas City, KS is seeking a Diesel Mechanic to perform DOT and PM inspections on trailers and execute preventative maintenance and repairs. The role requires basic computer skills, the ability to diagnose equipment, and experience with welding and fabrication of steel and aluminum.

Qualifications

• One year certificate from college or technical school or three to six months related experience/training.
• ASE Diesel Certification is an asset.
• Valid CDL may be preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT & PM inspections on trailers.
• Conduct trailer maintenance and repair.
• Tag warranty parts with cause, mileage, and removal date.
• Keep work areas clean and organized, handle spills and debris.
• Complete repair orders accurately and bill labor/parts correctly.
• Input vehicle information and diagnose equipment with basic computer skills.
• Perform trailer electrical work and test equipment for proper operation.
• Fix and repair tires as needed.
• Weld and fabricate steel and aluminum as required.
