Job summary

Pace TransportationServices is seeking a skilled Trailer Technician (Tier 2 or 3) to diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of trailers. The role emphasizes strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and commitment to quality workmanship.

The successful candidate will perform inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on brakes, electrical systems, suspension, and structural components while maintaining accurate service records.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational automotive or diesel tech training is a plus.
  • Certifications (ASE, OEM) are preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair trailers, including brakes, electrical systems, suspension, and structural components.
  • Maintenance: conduct routine maintenance and servicing to ensure safety compliance.
  • Communicate repairs and recommendations to customers clearly.
  • Maintain accurate records of services, parts used, and repairs completed.
  • Collaborate with other technicians to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality service.
  • Follow safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and repair techniques.

JobOverview:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Trailer Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various types of trailers to ensure safety and performance.
