Job summary

U-Haul in Wichita, KS is seeking a Trailer and SRI Repair Specialist to maintain trailers, Ford and GMC trucks, and related components. You will work on a production line, secure trailers, perform tire and brake maintenance, rebuild braking systems, and use the company's proprietary repair checklist.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years repair experience, basic mechanical aptitude, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work in a team or independently.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical aptitude and 1–2 years of repair experience preferred.
• Driver’s license required.
• Ability to work as part of a team as well as individually.
• Regular attendance.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Secure trailers on lifts and dollies.
• Perform tire and brake maintenance.
• Rebuild and repair braking systems and trailer components.
• Dismount, balance and mount tires.
• Occasionally road-test vehicles.
• Work on a production line.
• Use proprietary electronic pre-inspection and repair checklist.
• Team Members are expected to willingly lend assistance in additional areas as necessary, following the directives and guidance of their supervisor.
