Treasure Valley Trailers in Nampa, Idaho is seeking a Service Technician with strong mechanical skills and a customer-focused attitude. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of trailers, perform preventive maintenance, and work with customers to provide accurate estimates and recommendations.

Responsibilities include using hand and power tools, ensuring safety standards, and keeping records of service work.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• Mechanical repair experience required; trailer service and repair experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment.
• Welding and fabrication experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and diagnose trailer repair needs based on customer concerns and inspections.
• Provide repair recommendations and assist with preparing estimates.
• Perform preventative maintenance and routine service on brakes, tires, bearings, suspension, lighting, wiring, couplers, jacks, and related trailer systems.
• Install accessories, upgrades, and modifications on new and used trailers.
• Ensure all repairs meet manufacturer specifications and applicable safety standards.
• Communicate repair status and recommendations to customers in a professional manner.
• Complete work orders accurately and maintain service records.
• Test trailers and repairs as needed to verify proper operation and quality of workmanship.
• Follow all company safety policies and OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations.
• Receive, unload, and organize trailer and parts deliveries.
• Assemble, inspect, test, and prepare new trailer inventory for sale.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Assist other technicians and departments as needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
