Job summary

Dot Foods is seeking a skilled trailer mechanic in Ardmore, OK to safely and efficiently repair and maintain our fleet of storage and over-the-road trailers. You will diagnose, repair, and overhaul brake and electrical systems, perform preventive maintenance, and handle daily paperwork while ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

This role requires reading service information, strong communication, teamwork, and the ability to lift up to 75 pounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CDL preferred, must obtain.
• Read/comprehend service information.
• Must meet DOT safety-sensitive position requirements.
• Good attitude toward work and coworkers.
• Demonstrated aptitude in PC / laptop computer skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to communicate and interact with a diverse group and function as a team player.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Maintain proficiency in diagnosis and repair of the trailer fleet.
• Perform preventative maintenance on trailers.
• Test, repair, and replace electrical and lighting components.
• Diagnose, repair, and overhaul brake systems per guidelines.
• Interact professionally with customers, vendors, and staff regarding repairs.
• Complete paperwork daily (work orders, write-ups).
• Assist in compiling documents for regulatory compliance.
• Apply lean tools to identify and remove waste.
• Follow standard work and work instructions.
