Job summary

The Trailer Specialist in California is seeking a dependable Lot Technician to help maintain trailer inventory, perform assemblies, inspections, wash units, and keep the lot safe, clean, and customer-ready. This full-time outdoor role features a schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with one Saturday per month and potential extra weekend needs.

This hands-on position requires lifting 50+ lbs, working in varying weather, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assemble new trailers from the factory
• Perform pre-delivery and basic safety inspections
• Wash, clean, and detail trailers for display and delivery
• Keep the lot, yard, and work areas clean and organized
• Unload incoming trailers and assist with inventory placement
• Move trailers safely around the property
• Check lights, tires, brakes, couplers, jacks and other components
• Install minor accessories or parts as needed
• Assist with setting up sold trailers for customer pickup
• Support sales and service daily operations
• Follow safety procedures and equipment handling guidelines

About the Role:

We are a small, high-volume trailer dealership that takes pride in keeping our inventory sharp, safe, and customer ready. Our team works hard, stays busy, and maintains a low-pressure, customer-friendly environment.

We're looking for a dependable, hands-on Lot Technician who enjoys working outdoors and staying active while helping keep our dealership and trailer inventory in great shape.

Position Summary

The Trailer Prep & Lot Technician is responsible for helping maintain the appearance, safety, and organization of our trailer inventory and dealership property. This role includes trailer assembly, inspections, lot upkeep, washing units, unloading inventory, and general support for the sales and service departments.

Schedule:

• Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• One Saturday per month required
• Additional weekend availability may be needed based on business needs

Hourly Pay:

• $21.00-$25.00 / hr.
• $24.00 - $27.00/hr. for candidates with Class A license and relevant experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble new trailers delivered from the factory
• Perform pre-delivery inspections and basic safety inspections
• Wash, clean, and detail trailers for display and customer delivery
• Keep the sales lot, yard, and work areas clean and organized

Qualifications:

• Prior trailer, automotive, RV, or equipment experience is a plus, but not required
• Mechanically inclined and comfortable using basic hand tools
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs, move trailers safely, and work around heavy equipment
• Comfortable towing, backing, and maneuvering trailers (or willing to learn)
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed
• Must be dependable and show up ready to work
• Valid driver's license required
• Forklift or trailer towing experience is a plus
