Great opportunity for an experienced Trailer Mechanic in Salisbury, NC!

FW Carrier is a dedicated carrier servicing Dillard’s private fleet since 1980. Our maintenance shop in Salisbury is actively seeking a motivated trailer mechanic with a minimum of 5 years of experience working on dry van pup trailers. Our fleet consists of 1350 trailers and 160 dollies.

Day shift, Mon-Fri 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
Full time position with great benefits

Job Location: Salisbury, North Carolina (Charlotte area)

Responsibilities include:

1. Experience in all repairs on both trailers and converter dollies
2. FMCSA inspections
3. Enter electronic work orders and charge out parts
4. Shop cleanliness, safety and compliance
5. Follow policy and procedures in making all repairs
6. Roll doors experience
7. Welding experience

Other requirements:

1. Bumper-to-bumper preventive maintenance and repairs
2. Electrical repair and troubleshooting
3. The ability to identify the source of malfunctions using a variety of testing equipment including electronic testing equipment
4. ABS service including diagnostics
5. Must have your own tools
6. Self-motivated
7. Work well with others
8. Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen and physical
