Swift Transportation is seeking a Trailer Mechanic to perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on company-owned trailers and equipment in Morris, IL. The role includes completing DOT and OEM procedures and maintaining repair records.

Qualified candidates have 2+ years of trailer/mechanical experience, the ability to read manuals, and proficient diagnostic software skills. A valid driver’s license and background check are required.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver’s license.
• Ability to pass a comprehensive background check.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment hair drug screening.
• 2+ years of trailer, diesel, or related mechanical experience preferred.
• Ability to read repair manuals and work orders.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn diagnostic software.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance inspections and repairs.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
