Job summary

XPO is seeking a Trailer Mechanic in Knoxville, TN to perform routine maintenance on trailers, inspect and repair systems, and document work orders. You will move trailers around the yard and use specialized tools as needed, while upholding DOT, EPA, OSHA and company standards.

Qualifications

• 1 year of verifiable experience in heavy-duty maintenance and/or time in an entry-level Technician role.
• A valid driver’s license and ability to perform safety inspections and document results.
• Basic computer skills and flexibility to work varied shifts incl. nights/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and adjustments on trailing equipment per schedules and regulations.
• Inspect and repair trailers, access all areas of equipment, and operate hostler in all weather.
• Enter job times and parts on repair orders to track activity and maintain a clean, safe work area.
