Overview

The Trailer Mechanic performs thorough inspections and related repairs on equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance inspections to comply with DOT regulations
• Properly diagnose and repair trailer fleet.
• Repair trailer damage
• Complete all necessary tags and work orders
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment
• Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner which facilitates the success of business operations in order to meet company demands and expectations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
  
  

Qualifications

Education/Experience

• Valid driver’s license required
• Minimum 18 months mechanical related experience in the Transportation, heavy equipment, Agriculture, or Automotive Industry.
  
  

Skills And Abilities

• Ability to read and understand repair manuals.
• Ability to complete repair orders
• Ability to routinely lift, push and/or pull up to 80 lbs.
• Ability to climb ladders and work outdoors
• Demonstrated, proven customer service skills
• Must have solid judgment, problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Must be self-motivated and work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
