Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is seeking a skilled Mechanic II to perform preventative maintenance and repairs on trailer refrigeration systems and diesel engines in our Minnesota shop.

You will diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, perform alignments, and conduct diagnostic tests while following safety rules and documenting work orders. The role requires at least 2 years of diesel/trailer experience, a high school diploma or GED, and ASE PMI (T8) certification within 1 year.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Trade school in heavy‑duty diesel repairs/refrigeration preferred.
• 2 years diesel repairs/trailer/refrigeration experience.
• ASE PMI (T8) certification within 1 year preferred.
• Valid Class C Driver's License; Class A preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on trailer refrigeration.
• Diagnose and repair diesel engines and electrical systems.
• Perform front wheel and trailer axle alignments.
• Troubleshoot cooling systems and conduct diagnostic tests.
• Cut or weld using cutting torch and welding machine; read service bulletins.
• Complete paperwork and follow safety rules.
