Job summary

Pinnacle Equipment LLC in Gold River, CA is seeking a Trailer Mechanic for 1st shift (6:00 am - 4:30 pm, Wed-Sat). Qualifications

• 2+ years hands-on experience repairing and maintaining trailers or heavy-duty trucks.
• Knowledge of air brake, electrical, hydraulic, and suspension systems.
• Valid California driver's license with satisfactory driving record.
• Possession of personal hand tools appropriate to the trade.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding work.
• Must be at least 18 and legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Knowledge of DOT, FMCSA, and Cal/OSHA safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair trailers, including brakes, suspension, axles, wheel ends, tires, lighting, and electrical systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance and annual FHWA inspections to keep DOT compliance.
• Troubleshoot air brake systems, hydraulics, doors, and reefer units as applicable.
• Weld, fabricate, and repair trailer frames, floors, and bodies.
• Move and road test trailers to verify repair quality.
• Document inspections, parts used, and labor in the fleet maintenance system.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with Cal/OSHA safety policies.
• Respond to roadside or after-hours emergency repairs.
