RSS Mobile Trailer Repair in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking an experienced Shop Trailer Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, and repair semi-trailer systems. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, safety-minded, and able to communicate effectively with customers and crew.

The role offers $25-$30 per hour, a quarterly bonus after 90 days, and a comprehensive benefits package. Schedule is Monday through Friday days; overtime after 40 hours and a 401(k) plan are included.

Qualifications

• Must be an experienced Trailer Mechanic.
• Strong understanding of semi-trailer diagnostics and repair.
• Able to communicate with customers and co-workers.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and diagnose malfunctions on all trailer systems.
• Troubleshoot, repair and replace defective components.
• Perform regular check-ups and preventative maintenance on trailers and parts, including ABS, air brakes, frame, body, suspension and electrical systems.
• Coordinate with other staff to receive, execute and bill work in a timely & proper manner.
• Help maintain positive working relationships with current customers.
