Job summary

RSS Trailer Repair in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking an experienced Trailer Mechanic to join our shop team. You will diagnose, repair and service semi-trailer systems, communicating clearly with customers and teammates to ensure timely, quality work.

We offer a competitive pay range of $25-$30/hour, a $1000 sign-on bonus after 90 days, and quarterly bonuses. This is a Monday–Friday daytime position with benefits and room for growth within the company.

Qualifications

• Must be an experienced Trailer Mechanic.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Ability to pass a physical and drug screen.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and diagnose malfunctions on all trailer systems.
• Troubleshoot, repair and replace defective components.
• Perform regular check-ups and preventative maintenance on trailers and parts, including: ABS, air brakes, frame, body, suspension and electrical systems.
• Coordinate with other staff to receive, execute and bill work in a timely & proper manner.
• Help maintain positive working relationships with current customers.
