Job summary

Saia Inc. is seeking a Trailer Mechanic responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing trailers used for transporting goods.

You will service, inspect, and repair tractor-trailers, diagnose failures and perform repairs on mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, and keep detailed service records. Applicants should be at least 18, have a high school diploma or GED, be authorized to work in the United States, and possess personal maintenance tools.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Services, inspects, and repairs tractor-trailers.
• Diagnoses failures and repairs mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Uses hydraulic jacks and hoists to access the underside of trailers.
• Conducts full inspections of trailers and tests after repairs.
• Maintains a detailed record of all service and maintenance activities.
• Repairs defective parts such as brakes, tires, axles, wiring, and hydraulic systems.
