Job summary
TeamWRX Staffing is partnering with a national leader in the semi-trailer rental and leasing industry to hire experienced Trailer Mechanics in Richmond, VA and Allentown, PA. This direct-hire role offers a daytime Monday-Friday schedule, a 40-hour work week, and competitive pay.
You will diagnose and repair commercial semi-trailers, perform preventative maintenance, work on brakes and electrical systems, and conduct FHWA inspections.
Qualifications
- 1+ year of trailer repair experience.
- 1+ year of brake repair experience.
- Ability to perform FHWA inspections.
- Knowledge of air, brake, suspension, and electrical systems.
- Valid driver’s license and own tools.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and commitment to quality repairs.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair commercial semi-trailers.
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs.
- Inspect brakes, electrical/electronic systems, and suspensions.
- Handle FHWA inspections and safety inspections as needed.
- Perform mobile repairs with company service truck when required.
- Maintain shop, parts, and yard organization.
