Trailer Mechanic / Body Technician (II or III)

Responsibilities & Duties:

We are seeking an experienced Heavy-Duty Trailer Technician (Level II or Level III):

  1. Diagnose and complete complex repairs on heavy-duty trucks, trailers, etc.
  2. Read job order, observe and listen to vehicle in operation to determine malfunction and plan work procedures.
  3. Apply the use of specialized tools and follow documented procedures and policies to diagnose and complete complex repairs, including identifying and preparing required parts and tools.
  4. Complete required documents, such as service worksheets, time sheets, and warranty claims through handwritten forms and/or business system.
  5. Welding and fabrication.
  6. Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications:
  1. Strong professionalism when working cohesively with all customers.
  2. Ability to work with no direct on-site supervision.
  3. Ability to make effective judgments to prioritize workload and time allocation.
  4. Ability to carry out full diagnostics using diagnostic tools on different product types.
  5. Experience performing all work within Standard Repair Times (SRTs).
  6. Ability to properly use parts books, services manuals, and QuickServe online.
Education and Certifications:
  1. High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  2. 5+ years of experience working on heavy-duty vehicles.
  3. Post-Secondary Certificate or training.
Physical Requirements:
  1. Must be able to lift/carry 30lbs frequently.
  2. Must be able to lift/carry 50lbs occasionally.
  3. Must be able to lift/carry 100lbs during team lifts infrequently.
