Job summary

Dohrn Transfer is seeking a Trailer Mechanic in Peru, IL. This role involves safely maintaining the Dohrn fleet trailers and performing preventive maintenance. The position offers a 4 day work week and first shift hours, with pay up to $35.33 per hour and CDL & ASE incentives.

Training is available for incentives. Applicants should have high school completion, Strong English communication, and the ability to work independently or in a team.

Qualifications

• Must pass a NON-DOT physical examination and functional screen.
• Must consent to a pre-employment drug screen with negative result.
• Experience is preferred.
• Federal inspection certifications are preferred.
• Knowledge of repair and maintenance methods for automotive/mechanical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate and inspect mechanical equipment to diagnose defects.
• Preventive maintenance of equipment.
• Dismantle and reassemble equipment.
• Plan work procedure using charges and experience.
• Repair, replace and adjust necessary units and parts.
• Enter labor lines and parts into repair order system.
• May travel to other shop locations when staff is needed.
• React to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned.
