Job summary

Dohrn Transfer Company, LLC is seeking a 3rd Shift Diesel Mechanic at our Rock Island, IL Terminal. Mechanics are responsible for safely maintaining Dohrn fleet vehicles and ensuring reliable service.

Hours are 3rd shift with a 4 day work week. Pay up to $40.98/Hour with CDL & ASE incentives, and training available for incentives. Benefits include Health/ Vision/ Dental insurance, 401k matching, life insurance, and disability coverage.

Qualifications

• High School completion or equivalent.
• Valid Driver License.
• CDL, ASE, and state and/or federal inspection certifications are preferred.
• Knowledge of methods, materials, tools and techniques used in the repair and maintenance of a variety of automotive and mechanical equipment is required.

Responsibilities

• Operate and inspect mechanical equipment to diagnose defects.
• Analyze malfunctions and perform general overhaul, tune up or preventive maintenance of equipment.
• Dismantle and reassemble equipment.
• Plan work procedure using charges, technical manuals and experience.
• Repair, replace and adjust necessary units and parts.
• Enter labor lines and parts into repair order computer system.
• May travel to other company shop locations when staff is needed.
• React to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned.
