sefl is seeking a Trailer Mechanic/Technician B to inspect, repair, and maintain all trailers and related equipment used in transporting freight. The role covers over-the-road and city trailers of various makes and configurations.

Responsibilities include tracking work to meet service schedules, troubleshooting failures, diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, and performing routine maintenance such as lubrication, cooling system tests, brake adjustments, and tire inflation.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Valid Driver's License required.
  • Ability to pass background check and drug test.
  • Welding, fabrication and construction experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, repair, and maintain trailers and related equipment used in freight transportation.
  • Track completed and uncompleted work to meet service schedules.
  • Troubleshoot and perform failure analysis on mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components.
  • Diagnose breakdowns and potential failures in trailer systems.
  • Perform routine maintenance: lubrication, cooling system tests, brake adjustments, tire inflation.
  • Rebuild all or part of a system as needed.
