In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining our fleet by performing preventative maintenance, diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, and ensuring timely repairs. Job Summary

Repair company equipment safely, promptly, and cost-effectively, including performing preventative maintenance, general repairs, troubleshooting, and electronic diagnostics.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Build, rebuild, and repair all parts of company equipment as required
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, or other failures in trucks or related equipment
  • Read precision instruments such as micrometers, dial indicators, bore gauges, voltmeters, digital multi-meters, calibrators, and other diagnostic tools
  • Troubleshoot and analyze failures in truck systems and components
  • Use welding skills and knowledge of metals for truck repairs, including horizontal and vertical welding without air pockets for converter dollies
  • Apply knowledge of DOT, EPA, ICC, and OSHA regulations
  • This list is not exhaustive; employees must be able to perform all assigned duties.

Job Qualifications

Education:

  • High School diploma or equivalent

Experience:

  • Experience as a maintenance technician or equivalent education
  • Experience with truck, body, and frame repair
  • Own tools required
  • Ability to complete paperwork and records
  • Valid Commercial Driver’s License if required
  • Knowledge of truck systems and electronic diagnostic tools
  • Willingness to participate in training and testing
  • Maintain superior customer relations
  • Work on any equipment as directed

Physical Demands

Must meet physical requirements, including sitting, standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 100 lbs, reaching, hearing, speaking, dexterity, and cognitive skills, in various environments and conditions.

Work Environment

Exposure to different environments, weather conditions, noise levels, and lighting conditions. Reasonable accommodations available.
