J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. in Joppa, Maryland, is seeking a Trailer Mechanic II to perform intermediate maintenance and repairs on trailers and equipment.

Under routine supervision, troubleshoot, and complete fleet maintenance to meet company standards. The position includes a $1,500 sign-on bonus for a limited time and a benefits package with medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off, maternity and parental leave, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age with 2 years of experience in semi-trailer maintenance and repair, or equivalent combination of education and experience, or military equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience in DOT inspections, FHWA inspections, and air brakes.
• Able to supply your own basic tools, or purchase through our toolbox purchase program.
• Willingness to work outdoors in the elements.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate proficient knowledge of preventative maintenance and standard repairs related to trailer equipment.
• Troubleshoot trailer issues and perform intermediate-level repairs to specifications.
• Assist with onboarding and mentorship of trailer technician trainees.
• Participate in OE training for OE repairs.
