McDonald Companies in Green Bay, WI is seeking a skilled Trailer Mechanic to maintain and repair trailers in our fleet, ensuring DOT compliance and adherence to PM standards. You will diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues and keep detailed repair logs to support safety and reliability.

The role requires high school diploma or equivalent, 1 year of trailer-related experience, and the ability to lift heavy objects.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification is a plus.
• Minimum 1 year of trailer mechanic experience or related field.
• Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance standards.
• Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and protocols.

Responsabilidades

• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on trailers to meet company PM standards.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems on trailers.
• Ensure all repairs and maintenance meet DOT compliance regulations.
• Inspect and maintain brakes, tires, axles, and hubs.
• Test and troubleshoot electrical and lighting systems.
• Compile detailed maintenance records, repair logs, and inspection reports.
• Work closely with management to ensure timely repairs and fleet readiness.
• Stay updated on DOT regulations and company PM protocols.
• Respond promptly to urgent repair requests to minimize fleet downtime.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and equipment are in good condition.
