Job summary

Detro Trailers LLC seeks a on-site Maintenance Technician to perform routine repairs and maintenance on trailers, diagnosing issues with brakes, tires, steering, suspension and related systems. You will install accessories and upgrades, ensure safety compliance, and communicate with customers about required repairs.

The role requires strong mechanical aptitude, practical welding/hand tool experience, and the ability to work independently within a team, including lifting and handling trailers in

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Proficiency with basic welding, cutting torches and electric hand tools required.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and diagnose repairs based on customer concerns and provide estimates.
• Perform routine maintenance checks on brakes, tires, steering, suspension and other systems.
• Install accessories and upgrades on trailers.
• Ensure trailers meet safety standards and manufacturer specs; discuss repairs with customers.
• Complete work orders and document repairs; test and verify repairs.
