Job summary

Amerit Fleet Solutions in Oconomowoc, WI is seeking a Diesel Technician/Mechanic to maintain and repair trailers. The role offers $35.00–$45.00 per hour with weekly pay and full benefits within 30 days. A potential bonus up to $5,000 is also available.

You will work Monday–Friday 10:00am–6:30pm, performing preventive maintenance, diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, documenting repairs, and supporting fleet operations nationwide.

Qualifications

• 2+ years hands-on experience performing class 7-8 trailer maintenance and repairs.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Must own and maintain personal tools and toolbox.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to meet physical demands and pass pre-employment screenings (drug screen and DOT if required).

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on trailers.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues.
• Conduct inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
• Accurately document repairs and complete work orders.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and tools.
• Follow safety procedures and company policies.
• Collaborate with supervisors and teammates to support fleet operations.
