Job Description

• Maintains a positive and helpful manner when checking in carriers and interacting with other warehouse personnel
• Complies with and communicates any special requests as soon as the needs can be met, and relays information to the On‑site Management Team immediately
• Handles difficult situations with patience and tact, conferring with our customer and the On‑site Management Team
• Maintains an appropriate and consistent flow of trucks to the dock, by coordinating with truck drivers, dock supervisors, and warehouse receivers using radio or phone
• Thoroughly advises the On‑site Management Team of driver statuses and overall volume throughout the shift
• Executes on core responsibilities consistently: Basic reading/writing comprehension, driver check‑in, PO validation, BOL validation, data entry tasks, status updates, and assigning trucks to dock doors
• Maintains a working knowledge of: Vendor accounts, carrier accounts, warehouse requirements, rate schedules, dock schedules, and door specifications
• Maintains the inventory and condition of work supplies while reporting supplies needed to the On‑site Management Team, which may include: folders, pre‑printed gate passes, phones, intercom systems, computers, printers, ink cartridges, and any other necessary items

Pay Range: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour. Pay Scale: Not applicable

Job Requirements

• 6 months warehouse experience (preferred but willing to train)
• Work in a physically demanding warehouse environment – continuously lifting and moving up to 50 lbs
• Warehouse material handling equipment certification preferred (e.g. electric pallet jack)
• Meet fast‑paced productivity goals and standards
• Excellent customer service required
• Ability to work in various climate conditions (potentially including cooler/freezers)
• Reliable transportation with the ability to arrive on time
• Standing/climbing 8 to 10 hours per day
• Effective communication skills
• Safety shoes are required
• Ability to pass a pre‑employment drug screen and background check
• Other duties as assigned
