Clark College invites applications for a full-time Tenure-Track Addiction Counseling Education (ACED) Professor. The role includes teaching ACED courses, student advising, field placement coordination, and outreach with behavioral health partners.

Instruction may be in-person, hybrid, or online formats, with active use of instructional technology. The ACED program prepares students for licensure as Substance Use Disorder Professionals and serves working adults with evening courses.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in a relevant field.
• College-level teaching experience or preparation to teach adult learners.
• Demonstrated culturally responsive and inclusive teaching practices.
• Experience teaching in addiction studies or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Instruct all classes using active learning to engage students.
• Advise and assist students in educational and career development.
• Pursue professional development and maintain certifications.
• Coordinate program planning, curriculum development, and assessment.
• Collaborate with colleagues, advisory boards, and community partners to create learning opportunities.
• Participate in department and college committees.
