Job summary

Great Parks of Hamilton County is seeking a Part-Time Conservation and Parks Technician for Mitchell Memorial Forest in Cleves, OH. The role involves outdoor labor, plantings, trail work and basic maintenance, with weekend/evening shifts required.

Responsibilities include invasive plant removal, mowing, landscaping, repairs, janitorial tasks and small engine maintenance. A high school diploma or GED and some related experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School degree or GED and some prior experience or education in parks & recreation, natural resources, facility management, horticulture, grounds maintenance, or related field.
• Ability to document identity and employment eligibility within three (3) days of original appointment as a condition of employment in compliance with Immigration Reform and Control Act requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assists with removal of invasive and nuisance plants from natural areas; performs grounds and habitat maintenance and trail work.
• Assists in mowing, planting, mulching and maintaining plants, flowers, shrubs and trees; prune as needed.
• Performs minor repairs to buildings, facilities and roadways; painting, signage and pothole patching as required.
• Performs janitorial duties; cleans facilities and collects litter.
• Performs routine maintenance on small engines and equipment; basic mechanical tasks.
