National Park Service in Crescent City, CA is seeking a Maintenance Worker (Trails) to support the construction and upkeep of graded and paved trails, drainage systems, bridges, and guard rails. The position is a term appointment with potential extensions beyond 13 months, up to four years, at management discretion.

You will operate hand power tools safely, perform routine painting, carpentry, janitorial tasks, trash removal, grounds keeping, and assist in transporting materials to worksites.

Formación

• Experience in maintenance and construction of trails, drainage, bridges, and guard rails.
• Ability to safely use and maintain hand power tools.
• Willingness to perform painting, carpentry, janitorial and grounds-keeping tasks.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in maintenance and construction of graded and paved trails and related structures.
• Assist in installation and repair of water diversion bars, cribbing and retaining walls.
• Remove debris, windfalls, rockslides and encroaching brush to maintain trail integrity.
