The National Park Service at Bandelier National Monument is seeking a Maintenance Worker Leader (Trails) to supervise a trail crew and ensure safe, durable trail infrastructure. You will analyze drainage, lead carpentry and masonry work on log- and boardwalk features, and make on-site workflow decisions for front country, backcountry, and ADA trails.

This career-seasonal appointment spans about 18 pay periods (March–October) with non-pay status the rest of the year.

Formación

• Experience with trail construction and maintenance using logs and rough-sawn lumber
• Ability to lead a trail crew and make on-site work decisions
• Knowledge of safety tailgates and on-site safety practices

Responsabilidades

• Analyze drainage patterns to determine control methods for trails
• Lead carpentry and masonry work on trail structures
• Plan and assign work, ensure safety and on-site tailgate briefings
