Job summary

Langan is seeking a Project Traffic Engineer / Project Manager to join our team in Orlando or Tampa, FL. The role focuses on traffic/parking studies, transportation planning, and traffic signal/roadway design, with opportunities to lead multiple projects and collaborate across disciplines.

The ideal candidate will manage client relations, budgets, and schedules while mentoring junior staff. A PE license and 6+ years of relevant experience are preferred, with travel to field sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• 6+ years of experience in road, intersection, and traffic signal design.
• Valid Professional Engineer licensure required.
• Ability to manage multiple clients/projects and budgets.
• Experience with HCS, SYNCHRO, and MUTCD; knowledge of AutoCAD/MicroStation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate planning and permitting of traffic/transportation engineering and infrastructure projects.
• Manage multiple projects within budgets, schedules, and deadlines; prepare reports, invoices, and change orders.
• Assess feasibility and modify reports, plans, and design documents based on data analysis.
• Draft and edit proposals, reports, and other documents.
• Assist in business development and client meetings; provide oversight to junior staff.
